You don't have to be a kid to hang out and color pictures with your pals! You can go over to Grove Library for Adult Coloring Night next week on February 26th, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, to enjoy an evening of coloring with friends. Sounds fun, huh?

There's something therapeutic about totally checking out, disassociating, and instead focusing on just trying to keep the colors inside of the lines. It's a great way to spend an evening, make new friends, and rediscover one of your favorite childhood pastimes.

You don't even have to bring your crayons, markers, or coloring books, because Grove Library is going to provide them for everyone.

It sounds like a lot of fun, and honestly, I think we need more adult activities like this in Lubbock. Things aren't just centered around hanging out at the bar.

I came across an advertisement the other day for an "adult day care" in another state that looked cool. They offered group coloring, story time, arts and crafts, and even nap time. I could get behind that, especially the nap part. Those don't seem to happen often enough. Also, who doesn't love being read to??

Maybe we'll get something like that in Lubbock someday, but for now, at least you can go over to Grove Library and unwind from your busy week with a little coloring. Sounds like a great time. I'll see you there.
