West Texas Comic Con Makes A Huge Move To Accommodate Celebrity Guests, Vendors & More
All Cons claim to be "bigger and better" every year (and they usually are) but no one can say that quite as loudly and proudly as West Texas Comic Con 2023, which has made the move to quadruple its space. This will allow for more vendors, more artists, and an amazing roster of celebrity guests.
West Texas Comic Con will now be held at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center (1501 Mac Davis) from Friday, June 16th through Sunday, June 18th. There are multiple ticketing packages available including a special military family pass at a significant discount.
The move will allow for more of everything- vendors, artists, etc., but especially celebrity guests including some iconic wrestlers. This is perfectly in line with the Father's Day theme of the event; however, as a lady wrestling fan, I am quite excited for appearances by The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, Mike Rotunda, and Eric "Butterbean" Esch.
For horror fans, Paul T. Taylor aka Pinhead in Hellraiser Judgment will be there.
Both the Yellow and Red Space Rangers will be there (Tracey Lynn Cruz and Christopher Khayman Lee, respectively).
Three voice actors from Dragon Ball Z will be there: Mark "Kidwok" Brittan, Cynthia Cranz, and the lovely Tiffany Volmer, who is making her return to Lubbock.
Two movie stars will be there including character actor Burton Gillam of Blazing Saddles, Back to the Future 3, and Fletch. Brian A. Price, known as The Fugitive Predator, is also a stuntman who has been in Black Panther, The Walking Dead, and more. I think stunt people are really impressive so I'm excited to see him there.
Thanks to the extra space, vendor booths are still available. For ticketing and more event information, head over to West Texas Comic Con's website.
