When average homes start at one million dollars you know you are in a filthy rich area. To narrow the list down, Stacker broke down the top 10 wealthiest cities in Texas. The cities chosen were "ranked by the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of December 2022."

This town started replacing its smaller homes with large expensive ones, now making it one of the wealthiest spots in Texas where typical home values are around $1,977,324.

When homes are a million dollars you know it's elite, but when average homes start at 2 million, it's an entirely different level of prestige. Typical homes in Westover hills go for $2,348,103.

Unless you're a tech wiz or you have a fiery passion for live music, this might not be the place to call home. Houses around here average out to around $2,393,075.
