Best Year Yet: What You Missed from Hub City Comic Con 2024

After taking a year off, Hub City Comic Con returned better than ever with an extraordinary lineup of guests, great variety of vendors, and a fantastic turnout from the Lubbock community.

I have always been a big fan of conventions and grew up going to them with my family. Everything from the nerdy merchandising to stunning cosplays made it such a great experience that I will always love.

There are a variety of conventions that happen in Lubbock each year, but Hub City Comic Con truly outdid themselves this year and the turnout showed that.

The venue was packed with vendors, special guests, and people enjoying everything that was offered. Panels were a great success, the lines to meet special guests were popping, and the Civic Center was full of energy all weekend long.

They did a great job selecting special guests with three voice actors from the hit show ‘Hazbin Hotel’ and two voice actors from the popular anime ‘Kaiju No.8’ along with Cosmo and Wanda from ‘The Fairly Odd Parents’, and other amazing actors from other anime, video games, and shows.

I got the chance to speak with nearly all of the voice actors, excluding those from ‘Hazbin Hotel’, because they were booked and busy all weekend long. It is always fun to see guests with such a strong fanbase at these events.
