Is the Largest and Most Expensive Lubbock Airbnb Worth it?
I was looking into Lubbock Airbnbs when I came across one with a shocking price tag.
Most house rentals around Lubbock average around $1,000 to 2,000 for a five day stay. Of course, the price goes up with larger homes that sleep more guests, but even some of the largest options that sleep 16+ people don’t often exceed much more than $3,000 to $4,000 in the Lubbock area.
So, when I saw a listing for over $6,000 for five nights, I was very intrigued.
I looked at the listing and it said that it is apparently the largest home available to rent in Lubbock, sitting at 5,500 square feet. It has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and sleeps up to 15 people. There is also a pool house with an additional bed, bathroom, and kitchen.
While it may be the largest house available on Airbnb in the Hub City, it does not have the highest guest capacity. There are a few other homes available to rent with a capacity of 16+ guests that are around half the price of this home.
Of course, there has to be a reason why this home is so much more expensive, so I looked at the listing to see what I could find that makes it special.
Other than it being a big house and having a beautiful backyard with a large pool, I have to say I am still surprised about the cost. Compared to other homes with similar capacities, it feels very barren and plain.
It does have great reviews and the host seems to do a very good job at maintaining the home, I simply wonder why it is so much more expensive than homes that sleep more people and look to be better decorated and overall more home-like. Of course, those details are all up to personal preference.
My assumption is that the cost reflects the overall size of the home and the more simplified experience with only one to two beds per room rather than the rentals that pack three or more beds into one space.
