Lubbock Animal Services Without Power, Closed to the Public
If you were planning to adopt a furry friend from the Lubbock Animal Shelter this morning, unfortunately you’ll have to wait.
They publicly announced on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. via social media, that they are currently without power. This means that their computers and phones are down, leading to them having to shut down their services until they get their power back on.
They did not officially say what caused the power outage, but my assumption is that it has something to do with the storms from this morning.
Their official post said:
"Lubbock Animal Services is currently experiencing some technical difficulties and is without power, including our phones and computers being down. As a result we are currently unable to to answer phone calls and respond to emails. We are doing our best to keep operations running as smoothly as possible, but hope everyone will be patient with us while we work on getting things back up and running. Lastly, we are going to be closed to the public until power is back on.
Thank you to everyone for your understanding and patience with us!"
Hopefully they get everything sorted out soon so adoptions and intakes can continue as normal. Until then, you can scroll through their social media to see some of the animals they have available for adoption.
Keep an eye on their Facebook for an update on when they are back up and running.
