Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Camera Trade-In, Pet Adoptions, and More
We are back with some more last-minute plans to help you figure out what you want to do this weekend. A lot of the events happening are the same as previous weekends, so let’s highlight some of the other events that are one-offs or simply unique.
Friday
One of the most unique events happening on Friday has to be the Irish Music Month Session with Local Irish Music Talents. This event is happening at Nashwell Café from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
This is a chance to listen to Irish music, eat delicious food, get to know others with similar interests, and overall have fun. The event listing says, “Local musicians perform dance tunes and songs from Ireland, Australia, and the Southwest United States on fiddle, voice, flute, and piano. They will interweave stories, songs, and tunes.”
There is a charge that covers the food you will be served plus tip.
Saturday
This Saturday also features some unique events, including a Camera Trade-Up or Trade-In. Armadillo Camera is hosting this event and it gives you the chance to sell some for your gear or even get store credit you can use to upgrade your kit. They are also hosting a demo of some of the latest and greatest innovations in photography.
The event will be hosted from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Armadillo Camera and is free to the public.
There is also a PetSmart Adoption event this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and a Country Polka Lesson hosted by Social Dance Lubbock at the YWCA Sun ‘n Fun from 6:00 to 9:00. The dance event includes a one-hour beginner-friendly class followed by open dancing to practice your new moves.
