You don't want to miss this special family friendly event in Lubbock to kick off March and the future engineers that will help shape the world. The Lubbock Science Spectrum is collaborating with Texas Tech University's Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering students and faculty, and local area High School Engineering Clubs for the Texas Tech Engineering Fair.

This event will have many things to do for those that attend with plenty of hands-on engineering based activities. Participants will also be able to see examples of real world research and development of new technologies having to do with robotics, drones, solar and wind energy, among others. Those that attend will also find out more engineering and what a career in the field entails.

During this event visitors will be able to view the film 'Dream Big: Engineering Our World' for just that day in the OMNI theater for $5 a person. The Texas Tech Engineering Fair will be on Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Science Spectrum in Lubbock. This event is free to attend but those wishing to attend the museum portion will still have the standard museum rates apply.
