Lubbock’s SideShot Monday (11 Caught!)
It's Thanksgiving week! We are all excited up here at Townsquare Media. I mean, a few days off with the family, a couple days to refresh...sounds great doesn't it! And then there's the main event - the Thanksgiving dinner! Sure the turkey is great, but the sides really make the meal! That's why we are proud to present - Lubbock's SideShot Monday! You'll get to see pictures of your favorite and not-so-favorite Thanksgiving sides!
FIRST UP...
ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUTS...
Ok, we are starting somewhat healthy...this could be the hit or bomb of the night depending on how it's seasoned...
COOKED CARROTS...
Cooked carrots always have those green herbs on them...sometimes they are the only left over.
CRANBERRY SAUCE
The real question is fresh versus the can? Strangely, most go for the can-shaped variety.
DINNER ROLLS...
It's not a true Thanksgiving meal without the dinner rolls!
PUMPKIN PIE...
Ok, this is a dessert but it should be the final side of the night!
STUFFING...
This is another crazy question... homemade or stove top? While most family chefs would prefer to put together their own ingredients, some family will prefer the more familiar tastes of stove top or store bought.
AMBROSIA SALAD...
The wild card of any Thanksgiving meal...fruit, marshmallows and coconut shavings.
CORN CASSEROLE...
Thanksgiving is a time for casseroles and this one is probably the least favorite.
GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE...
Thanksgiving is a time for casseroles and this one is probably the most favorite.
MACARONI AND CHEESE...
For Thanksgiving, the mac and cheese is homemade and fancy...
MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY...
Finally, the grandaddy of them all, mashed potatoes and gravy! The perfect compliment to a juicy turkey!
