Lubbock has been seeing many coffee shops open up recently, including local spots and chains. They all have something unique about them, and one in particular is especially standing out.

They have a product called ‘Moon Milk’ that I've heard described as tasking like melted ice cream. It’s creamy, sweet, and delicious. This special milk can be added to any of their coffee drinks for a tasty twist on well-known classics.

The shop is called Summer Moon, and other than their Moon Milk, they also specialize in oak roasted coffee.

They just opened a location in Lubbock off of 114th street, and it is a very aesthetically pleasing shop. I’ve also been informed that based on the success of this location, they might plan to open more locations around the Hub City.

I asked a friend who recently visited them about his experience and he said:

“The staff was very friendly and told me all about their coffee and the way they make it. They also gave me a sample of their Moon Milk and it was very good and very sweet. It tasted like melted ice cream.”

As someone that loves a good creamy and sweet coffee, this seems like a great spot. They also have options without their Moon Milk if you are looking for a less-sweet option.

They do not currently have a local Facebook page that I could find, but there is one for the chain as a whole. You can also order their coffee beans via their official website.
