As a big James Cameron fan, and a lover of the Avatar series, I was incredibly excited when Avatar: The Way of Water was released.

I saw it in theatres almost immediately after its release in December 2022, and I was not disappointed. The stunning graphics, compelling story, and new characters, had me thinking one major thing: When will it be available to stream?

Fortunately, we officially have a streaming release date for the film, which is just later this month on March 28, 2023.

Of course, it will be available on Disney Plus, but you will also be able to watch it on other platforms (most likely for a rental fee) including Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Vudu.

While it’ll be exciting to watch the movie from the comfort of your own home, I highly suggest checking it out in theatres while you can. Its last scheduled showing at Premier Cinemas is tonight, March 15th, and the last scheduled Cinemark showing is currently Wednesday, March 22nd. Keep in mind, these showings could change.

I think a movie like this is worth seeing in a theatre for the best visual and audio experience. However, I understand as someone that prefers to watch movies at home, that you might just want to wait until it is officially out on streaming platforms.

At least that way you could do a marathon and watch the first movie too. Keep in mind they are both long movies, so maybe watching them over the weekend is a good idea.
