A new restaurant will be opening soon in Lubbock. This time in the northwestern part of the city.

Cyrus Kabob is a family-owned restaurant specializing in Persian/Iranian cuisine. Their menu primarily features beef and chicken kabobs. Along with that, they will have falafel, wraps, salads, and more.

Cyrus is a seasoned chef with 40 years of culinary experience, who works alongside his wife and youngest daughter Sayeh. When he moved to Lubbock he decided he needed to give the city something new.

Cyrus knows 40 different ways of making kabob, some of which will appear in the restaurant’s menu.

The menu will feature Kabob Koobideh made with meat including chicken and beef, and different flavors such as spicy saffron. Customers can order the meal with rice, salad or as a wrap. Complementing the main dishes will be side dishes such as tzatziki and crispy falafel.

They will also be offering family meals to-go and it appears as though they will have catering opportunities as well.

If their customers enjoy their offerings, they will be adding more Persian dishes to the menu.

The new restaurant will be moving into the old Dimba's location that closed in June of 2023 on Frankford Avenue next to Papa Murphy's.

They are set to have their opening this Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 at 421 Frankford Avenue., Lubbock, TX. You can call them at (806) 548-3563.

They will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
