If you are looking for relief from the well-above-normal temperatures we have seen lately in Texas, just wait a couple of more days. And for those of us on the South Plains and up into the Panhandle, the next two days will be very hot.

Summer-Like Temperatures Before A Cold Front Blasts Through

The weather forecast starting Wednesday and lasting through Friday show high temperatures nearing 100 degrees. Some will see triple digits, others will just see a highs around 98.

On Friday, winds will be out of the north as a major cold front enters our area and it will bring a huge change in our forecast. As of this writing, Friday's high will be in the 50's and Saturday's high temperature will allow us to reach the mid-60's.

Most of the state will cool down this weekend due to this front. For example, the Dallas-Fort Worth area will see high temperatures in the mid-70's on Friday, mid-60's on Saturday, and return to the 80's on Saturday. The cooler temperatures won't last long anywhere in Texas. Sunday's high in Lubbock is expected to be in the mid-80's.

For those hoping to see rain soon, keep hoping or better yet, keep praying for rain for the Lubbock area. The chances of rain aren't looking good right now.
