It is still very hot all around the State of Texas. While summer may be over for the school kids, summer's grip on the Lone Star State and the hot temperatures aren't going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, just looking ahead the next 10 days show plenty of triple digit high temperatures around the state.

But at some point relatively soon, the seasons will change and before you know it winter will be here. And we are starting to get an idea of what this winter may look like in 2025 thanks to an early, extended outlook from the Farmers' Almanac.

Overall this winter, most Texans can expect a "mild, near to below normal precipitation" throughout Texas. Portions of the Panhandle though may see a colder winter. So while most Texans can expect a mild winter, the Farmers' Almanac does warn about a possible Winter Storm.

The Farmer's Almanac doesn't say where in Texas, but the Panhandle area is a possibility for a major snowstorm in 2025. The Farmers' Almanac warns Texans to be prepared around the beginning of February for a possible snowstorm with up to 6 inches of snow in Texas.

Readers in Texas and the Northwest might want to circle the beginning of February for a possible snowstorm with up to 6 inches in Texas, and 12 inches in the Bitterroot Mountain range of Idaho.

So is a snowstorm or even a blizzard coming to Texas? It's way too early to even say, but right now, snow sounds pretty great. Just not a blizzard.
