Lubbock Man Arrested For Murder After Shots-Fired Call

On Tuesday, the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office announced that a Lubbock County man had been arrested after calling authorities about shooting a man on his property. Though some reports dispute that it was actually his property.

One Person Dead, One Person Arrested

Leslie Harston, 54, was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday. The victim according to the Sheriff's department was identified as Alfredo Franco Garza, 53. According to KAMC, Harston told authorities he had shot an unknown person.

EverythingLubbock.com previously reported on Monday that LCSO responded to a shots-fired call around 2:40 p.m. Harston advised deputies that he had shot an unknown person who was on his property.

Garza was taken to hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival. Harston was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and is being held at the Lubbock County Detention Center.
