We are in August and that means we are closer to Fall but if you didn't notice then there might be somethings you missed this week.

Kindness Is Key

Somedays you feel down and kind of don't want to do much or tune out the world but maybe doing just something small could help you. An act of kindness, even when you're down, could boost your day whether it's just feeling good or good karma. Being kind is free and could go a long way. One way to be kind is to give back to forgotten children. This year the annual Hub City Beach Party was held on August on 5 as a way to help children in the foster care system and help those children that are in the system.

Trick or...Wings?

Chicken wings seem to be the popular food items this Summer as the newest Wing Shack opened their doors but that's not the only place to get some wings. There seems to at least 18 places in Lubbock you could go to get some wings but there's something even better quickly approaching. Halloween is almost here and that only means two things, candy and Spirit Halloween stores are almost open. Well if you are in Lubbock then they are already open and ready for some spooky fun, or if you just need spooky everyday home decor then they have got you covered.

And Now, Mugshots

These 53 mugshots are of individuals arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center during the week of July 31 - August 6, 2023. The individuals charged should be presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. All arrestees featured below are those charged with a felony offense. A felony offense is classified by the severity of punishment, ranging from the low level state jail felony all the way to a capital felony. Also featured are any individuals who were held on a Fugitive Warrant or Detainer, a United States Marshall Remand, or Immigration Customs Enforcement Detainer.
