National Pizza Chain Moving Into The Old Furr’s Cafeteria Location In Lubbock

The old Furr's Cafeteria location at 6001 Slide Road may soon have life again. Though, this time, it will be a different type of pie than what you used to find for dessert.

The national chain Peter Piper Pizza is reportedly looking at opening its first location in Lubbock and according to KAMC, permits say its going to be located in the old Furr's location at 6001 Slide Road. That's right next door to Texas Roadhouse.

Peter Piper Pizza blends pizza with entertainment for the whole family. Of course, you have pizza, but Peter Piper Pizza also offers games and prizes and even space for birthdays.

Peter Piper Pizza also has a pizza buffet Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Lubbock location will be the 52nd store for Peter Piper Pizza. The first location opened in 1973 in Glendale, Arizona.

When Will Peter Piper Pizza Open in Lubbock?

According to KAMC, construction is set to begin in July. But it's going to be a while before they possibly open. Right now, they tentatively plan on opening in March of 2026.
