Texas Tech Football Is Back This Weekend, And We Can’t Wait
This past weekend, fans got a "taste" of college football with a handful of games during week zero. This weekend, college football is going all out with games Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday. Yes, Labor Day weekend is a football weekend this year.
And for Texas Tech football fans, Saturday is the big day. The much anticipated season for Texas Tech kicks off at 6:30 Central time on CBS as the Red Raiders travel to Wyoming to face the Cowboys. As of today (Monday, August 28) Texas Tech is favored by two touchdowns.
While Tech fans may be more excited about the upcoming home game against Oregon, the Red Raider football team should be focused on the opponent they face on Saturday. For Texas Tech, they should come out Saturday wanting to make a statement. A statement that they are the future of the Big 12. There is a lot to like about the Red Raiders in Coach Joey McGuire's second season. There are some who even say Texas Tech is a dark horse to win the Big 12 title this season. For that to happen, they have to take care of business each week and a convincing, big win against Wyoming will get fans even more pumped up.
Take care of business this week, and the Jones will be rocking next week against Oregon. Plus, it will help show those who don't believe in Texas Tech they better start believing soon.
Here's to a great season for Texas Tech. Wreck 'Em!
