Who's ready for a little football in Lubbock? The Texas Tech Football program is putting is wrapping up the final week of spring football this week and it concludes this Saturday at noon with the spring game.

Last season was the first season for Head Coach Joey McGuire and he wasted no time getting a buzz going around the Texas Tech Football Program. The Red Raiders went 8-5, defeated both Texas and Oklahoma and wrapped the season up in style taking down Ole Miss in the Texas Bowl 42-25.

It was an impressive first year for Coach McGuire and the new look Red Raiders.

But that was season and this season expectations are higher and the Big 12 looks much different. The 2023 football season will see Texas Tech facing different opponents like BYU, UCF, and Houston. Even Oregon comes to Lubbock on September 9th.

But before that happens. And before fans get to see the new turf and lighting, the spring game happens on Saturday.

This year the Texas Tech spring game is taking place at Lowrey Field as construction is underway at Jones AT&T Stadium. It's free to attend and kickoff is slated for noon on Saturday, April 22. The game will also be shown on ESPN+.

It should be a great day weather wise for the spring game with high temperatures expected to be in the upper 60's to low 70's.

And if you don't have tickets for the 2023 season yet, sales representatives will be on-site on Saturday ready to sell fans tickets for the upcoming season.
