Join The Celebration: United Supermarkets Marathon Returns To Lubbock!

🏃‍♂️United Supermarkets Lubbock Marathon to Take Place Sunday, October 27🏃‍➡️

Hey Lubbock, mark your calendars and lace up your sneakers because the United Supermarkets Lubbock Marathon is coming up this Sunday, October 27! Whether you're running, cheering on the participants, or just looking for something fun to do out of the house with the kiddos, this event has something for everyone!

The marathon will be held near the Buddy and Maria Elena Holly Plaza (right by 19th Street and Crickets Avenue -- see map below). Besides all the races, there’s a family-friendly festival happening from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. near the Buddy Holly Statue. Expect vendors, inflatables, and plenty of fun for everyone, so bring the kids and come join in the fun!

The marathon course is something special, taking runners through the Canyon Lake System, around the Texas Tech University campus, and winding through some of Lubbock’s most scenic neighborhoods. Whether you're running or just spectating, it’s a great way to see some of the best parts of the Hub City!

Here’s the timeline for race day:

• 8:00 a.m. – Hand Cycle, Push Chair, Marathon, and Half Marathon all kick off.
• 8:10 a.m. – 5K starts.
• 8:15 a.m. – 10K race gets going.
• 9:00 a.m. – The Kids Fun Run begins.

Heads up to local drivers: road closures start at 4 a.m. along the course. As each race finishes, roads will reopen, and everything should be clear by 3 p.m. that day.
