‘King of the Hill’ Reboot! What Happens to Our Favorite Young Texan, Bobby!
I'm a Texan by birth and I love many 'Texas' things. Brisket, the Dallas Cowboys, Willie Nelson...and 'King of the Hill'!
If you somehow don't know, 'KOTH' is set in the fictional Texas town of Arlen and has been delighting audiences since 1997 with their special brand of humor that many times revolves around the Lone Star State.
Bobby Hill is the son of Hank and Peggy Hill and he's one of the funniest characters on the show. As a matter of fact, we joke in my family that their dynamic and their personalities are exactly the same as my late father and I.
After Fox cancelled the show, fans were NOT HAPPY! Luckily, the show is coming back!
Pamela Adlon (a.k.a. the voice of Bobby Hill on "King of the Hill") gave an update on the Hulu reboot that was announced last year.
She recently worked on Season 2, and Season 1 is expected to come out next year. Pamela says it takes place several years later, with Bobby as a 21-year-old chef at a fusion restaurant in Dallas.
Quote, "It's been incredible [and] really fun. I think it's been freakier for [creators] Mike Judge and Greg Daniels to think about Bobby going from 12 to being 21 and having a relationship and being a person . . .
"But don't we all go through that with our kids and our friends' kids? It is shocking when I see my friends' kids and they're all grown up. And I'm like, 'Wait a second, what just happened?' So, it's just a little bit of a mess."
