Kliff Kingsbury Is Headed to Arizona for Cardinals Head Coaching Job
UPDATE: It's official.
Adam Schefter details some contract numbers:
Since that date, however, eight NFL head coaching jobs opened up, and Kliff Kingsbury is likely taking one of the vacancies as Peter Schrager of the NFL Network reports:
This isn't final, but reports were swirling all morning and afternoon that the Jets and Cardinals were swarming around Kingbsury, trying to persuade him to take their job instead of the other. As it stands now, Kingsbury has chosen the Cardinals, and will take over the 32nd ranked offense in the NFL from 2018.
That doesn't mean the Cardinals are without talent, with rookies Josh Rosen and Christian Kirk, as well as David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald.
There are also battles with Sean McVay to look forward to as the Cardinals and Rams will do battle twice a year as division rivals.
Kingsbury, once this is official, will be the second Texas Tech football alum to lead a current NFL team, joining Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn.
