Landon is Excited – They May Have Cured Baldness!
Have scientists finally figured out a cure for BALDNESS? Researchers at Columbia University have come up with a way to regrow hair WITHOUT transplanting it from another part of your body.
As a partially bald man since high school, this excites me to no end. As I'm sure it does for all of the other chrome-domed men reading this.
Essentially, they don't have to take hair from the back of your head anymore. For the first time, researchers have been able to take human dermal papilla cells (those inside the base of human hair follicles) and use them to create new hairs. They've even tested it sucessfully in mice and stuff.
You won't be getting new locks tomorrow or anything...they still have some testing to do...but it's a step closer and that's all that matters!
