The Landsharks Experience, widely regarded as one of the premier touring tributes to Jimmy Buffett, is headed to the historic Cactus Theater on August 15th, and every ticket sold helps make a difference for local children who need it most.

A Night of Island Music Comes to the Cactus Theater

FosterALife, a Lubbock nonprofit dedicated to serving abused, neglected, and abandoned children involved with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, is bringing the nationally known Landsharks back to town for what organizers promise will be a show unlike anything they've performed in Lubbock before.

The concert takes place at the Cactus Theater, located at 1812 Buddy Holly Avenue on Saturday, August 15th. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the music beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Fans looking for an even more memorable evening can purchase a VIP Meet and Mingle add-on, giving them the chance to spend time with the band from 6 to 6:30 p.m. before the show.

Jimmy Buffett Himself Gave Them His Stamp of Approval

Tribute bands come in all shapes and sizes, but the Landsharks have something very few can claim...they earned the respect of Jimmy Buffett himself!

After performing with the band on stage at his own Margaritaville restaurant in Key West, Buffett famously said:

"These guys knew my songs better than I did!"

That endorsement led to the Landsharks becoming the official house band for Margaritaville.

Their resume is equally impressive. Over the years they've entertained audiences around the globe, performing at the Super Bowl, Disney Parks, Universal Studios, MGM Studios, and alongside legendary artists including The Beach Boys, Bob Marley's Wailers, Patti LaBelle, Alan Jackson, Pablo Cruise, Three Dog Night, and many others.

While the concert promises plenty of tropical fun, the real heart of the evening is FosterALife.

Now celebrating its 22nd anniversary, the organization was founded in 2004 by Dr. Shaun Keel with a mission to provide opportunities, resources, and support for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

The nonprofit works with children in Lubbock County and 17 surrounding counties, helping provide services designed to build confidence, improve self-esteem, and create brighter futures for young people navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.
