Listeners Pick Lubbock’s Best Places to Get a Tattoo

Are you inked? Do you have a sleeve on your arm or leg? Maybe a Tweety Bird on your buttocks? It's more common nowadays to have a tattoo than not.

I'm in the 'not' category since I don't have one single tattoo on me. Same goes for my sister, my mom and my late father. It must be a family thing.

It's not that I have any objection to tattoos. It's just that I've never thought I had anything of importance that I wanted on my body for eternity.

My late wife and one of her tattoo artist friends once drew me up a big piece that we seriously were going to have done on my shoulder and part of my back. It was Neil Diamond in a thunder cloud with a dove flying by carrying a banner that stated, 'I am...I said'.

You may laugh, but Neil is one of my all-time favorites and that song has very special meaning to her and I. I honestly think it would have made an AWESOME tattoo and it would have certainly been a conversation piece no matter what!

Now that I think of it, maybe I should hit up one of these places and get it done in my late wife's honor!
