Going to the South Plains Mall back in the day was an absolute treat! Mom would give me my allowance and just let me and my friends cruise around the mall for hours on end. We had to save a quarter to use the payphone to call for her to come get us!

First, we'd hit up Chick-Fil-A since it was EXCLUSIVELY available at the mall back then. After that, head over to Gadzook's to see what was new in the world of skateboarding. Maybe hit the arcade for a bit. A possible snack from Auntie Anne's Pretzels. There was also the place that made those really good strawberry lemonades and the Great American Cookie Company. We'd also go to the record store, of course, and see what new band I was about to obsess over. It was a great time!

So, how about YOU?!? Did you have a favorite place where you and your friends would gather? Did you ever get into any trouble and get caught by the mall cops? Did any of your wishes that you wished for after tossing a bit of change into the fountain ever come true? Let us know on our Facebook page!
