A child suffered minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Tuesday, November 9th, near Lubbock-Cooper West Elementary School.

Lubbock-Cooper officials say at around 7:50 a.m., a student attempted to cross the intersection of Fulton Avenue and 102nd Street and was hit by a car. The student is said to have sustained minor injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

No other students were involved in the incident.
