Lubbock Fire Victim Involved in Child Indecency Investigation
The man killed in a Lubbock house fire Monday afternoon, Andrew Vincent Stover, was somehow involved in a child indecency investigation.
Lubbock Police told KAMC news: "A complaint was filed. LPD detectives began an investigation to which [Stover] was a party."
However, police cannot confirm if Stover was under investigation or just the man who filed the complaint.
Police last spoke to Stover about the child indecency subject Monday at 9 a.m., just four hours before the fatal fire was reported.
The day before the fire, Stover contacted police after his truck was vandalized, suffering a reported $2,000 worth of estimated damages.
The blaze that would kill Stover the following afternoon has been classified as arson, and police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to find his exact cause of death.
