Lubbock Man Arrested After Leading Police on High Speed Chase
Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 7), Texas DPS agents arrested a Lubbock man that led police on a chase.
Twenty-four-year-old Markeese Shed was driving a vehicle on US 84 and MLK around 2 p.m. An officer attempted to pull Shed over, but he sped away, driving down MLK and onto 82nd street, finally stopping in an alley in the 500 block of 82nd street.
Shed got out of his vehicle and ran from police, jumping into backyards.
Shed was finally arrested by Lubbock Police near 82nd Street and Avenue D. He was then taken to UMC with minor injuries and will be booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.
Shed has been charged with Evading Arrest With a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest on Foot, Possession of Marijuana, Assault on a Public Servant, and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.
DPS stated that Shed was wanted on two felony warrants from Hale County and two felony warrants from Lubbock County
