Lubbock Man Who Pulled Knife During Candy Robbery Indicted for Aggravated Assault
A Lubbock man has been indicted on a robbery charge by a grand jury.
Twenty-year-old Jordan McCarthy is accused of stealing candy from the Market Street store at 50th Street and Indiana this past December. During the robbery, McCarthy allegedly pulled a knife when he tried to escape from the store.
McCarthy was charged with Aggravated Robbery and violating Restriction B of the Texas Driver’s License code, which states "a licensed driver 21 years of age or older must be in the front seat."
He remains in custody at the Lubbock County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
