Lubbock Man Indicted for Sexual Assault Against a Child
A Lubbock man has been indicted on a charge of sexual assault against a child.
KAMC News reports 31-year-old Robert Lee Sapia was arrested July 17th after investigators confronted him over sexual assault allegations. An unnamed girl told her mother that the sexual abuse by Sapia had occurred over five to six years.
After collecting evidence, police questioned Sapia, who denied he did anything. Eventually, he broke down and admitted to the abuse. "How much time am I looking at," he said during questioning according to court records.
Sapia is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
