Lubbock Parents Arrested After Their Toddler Was Found in Parking Lot
Two parents from Lubbock were arrested after their small child was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
A resident of the complex had seen the child trying to open the front door. The child told them that their parents went to go get food, so the resident called police.
KAMC News reports that the child's parents, 35-year-old Jeremy Castro and 36-year-old Chrisanta Castro, had left the apartment believing the child was left alone with the other. Apparently, the parents have had 3 other instances of their child being left alone outside, according to Child Protective Services.
Both suspects were arrested and charged with Abandoning or Endangering a Child and other charges relating to the incident. Chrisanta is being held on bonds totaling $7,500 and Jeremy is being held on bonds totaling $3,500.
