The Lubbock Police Department made two arrests earlier this week, as well as the seizure of $185,000 worth of cocaine, cash and firearms.

On Tuesday, March 8th, a search warrant was executed on a home in the 3300 block of East Bates Street just before midnight. Two suspects inside the home attempted to flee out the back and dispose of evidence but were quickly captured.

Inside the home, 6.3 pounds of cocaine worth approximately $114,240 was found. $72,220 in cash and two firearms, one of which was stolen, were also confiscated. The two suspects, 27-year-old Trevon Hicks and 22-year-old Rodrick Bibbs, were booked in the Lubbock County Detention Center.

Hicks faces charges of evading arrest, tampering with evidence, theft of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance. Bibbs has been charged with tampering with evidence, evading arrest, theft of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.

They're both being held on bonds totaling over $200,000, respectively.
