Lubbock Police Release Name of Bicyclist Killed in Crash
A Lubbock woman is in police custody after she allegedly struck and killed a man with her car Thursday morning (June 28).
The incident began at roughly 2 a.m. in the area if 11th Street and Slide Road. Police arrived to discover one victim dead at the scene. They arrested 23-yer-old Laura Reynolds for DWI. The victim was reportedly riding a bicycle south on Slide Road when they were struck by Reynold's passenger vehicle.
Police say 18-year-old Davion Boswell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Lubbock Police Department is still investigating. Reynolds faces at least one DWI charge, but more charges may be forthcoming.
