
Lubbock’s Legacy Play Village Closed for Repairs This Sunday
The Legacy Play Village will be closed to all visitors on Saturday, May 14th from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
A team of volunteers will converge on the Legacy Play Village on Saturday, May 14th at 8:00 am to perform much needed repairs and upkeep to the community built playground located in McAlister Park.
Anyone is welcome to come lend a hand on Saturday. BYOR aka, Bring Your Own Rake, Your own Paint Brush, Your own Drill, Your own wheelbarrow, Your Own Shovel… we hope to have a lot of volunteers, but don’t have a lot of tools!!

Legacy Play Village is a unique play/learn facility which was sponsored, designed and built by the citizens of Lubbock and the surrounding area. Legacy Play Village is maintained and operated by the Friends of Legacy Play Village. The "Friends" can be reached at legacyplayvillage@suddenlink.net.
The Legacy Play Village has three picnic pavilions that are available for rental year-round. To reserve a pavilion, call the Parks and Recreation Office at (806) 775-2673.
