[UPDATED] Identity of Woman’s Body Found in Southwestern Castro County Released

The identity of the body found in Castro County has been released.

KAMC News reports 30 year-old Mark Longoria has been arrested and charged with the murder of 32 year-old Mysti Amber Goddard.

This past Saturday, the Castro County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a dead body in Southwestern Castro County and that’s when officials found the body of Goddard.

Longoria is begin held in the Castro County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

An Earth, Texas man was arrested for murder in Castro County.

KAMC News reports the Castro County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a body in a ditch along CR 510 in Southwestern Castro County Saturday morning (April 21).

When officials arrived at the scene, they discovered a woman with a gunshot wound. The identity of the victim is known, but is waiting to be released until approval from the family.

The suspect, 36-year-old Mark Longoria, was arrested and charged with murder, then booked into the Castro County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
