Mattel Will Start Manufacturing a Bald Barbie Doll for Girls Going Through Chemo

This is a pretty cool decision by Mattel. They're SHAVING BARBIE'S HEAD...for a good cause.

Mattel has decided to start manufacturing BALD BARBIE dolls for girls who are dealing with hair loss from chemo treatments for cancer, alopecia, and other conditions.

The dolls won't be in stores...Mattel will be donating them to children's hospitals and the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.

Mattel decided to make the dolls because of a Facebook group called 'Beautiful and Bald Barbie! Let's see if we can get it made.'  The group has more than 150,000 likes.
