Mayor Dan Pope Hosts ‘Adoption With the Mayor’ Event on June 22nd

Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope is hosting "Adoption with the Mayor" on Saturday, June 22nd at Lubbock Animal Services, located at 3323 SE Loop 289.

This event will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday.

A City of Lubbock press release says that Mayor Pope will be taking pictures with adopted pets and their new families, as well as signing adoption certificates.

Mayor Pope had this to say:

As Mayor and as an animal lover, I am proud to host this special pet adoption event. Lubbock Animal Services made important changes over the last 16 months that have tremendously improved its operations. LAS currently has a live release rate of more than 90%, and I encourage all residents to come out and participate in this event.
