Summer is supposed to be a joyful time for kids as they hang out with friends, go on vacations and, in August, start thinking about going back to school. But for too many kids and their families, August was turned upside down.

Another month has passed, and sadly, more kids in Texas went missing. As we've sadly seen before, the kids who have gone missing are from all over the State of Texas, including a girl and a boy from Lubbock. The ages of the kids that went missing range from 14 to 17 years old.

Jereni Scott of Lubbock, Texas went missing on August 11th, 2022. She's 14 years old, bi-racial with brown hair and blue eyes. Avery Guerra has been missing since August 20th, 2022. He is 16 years old, Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes.

Please take some time to look at the pictures below and see if you recognize any of the faces or names. As you're looking through these photos, if you do recognize one of the missing children and have any information concerning their current whereabouts or where they may be headed, call 911 or the NCMEC's phone number at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).
