In a press release on Thursday, March 25th, LPD confirmed the remains were found in the 1600 block of Cesar E Chavez Drive, but the identity remains a mystery. Even more mysterious, police say the skeleton was wearing a large gold-colored ring, the significance of which has not been made clear yet.

Investigators also detail that the skeleton is male and could be a person between 15 and 30 years of age, possibly white or Hispanic in ethnicity. In an effort to try and identify the remains, the Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public's help.
