4 Things You Can Do on National Spouse’s Day in Lubbock That Won’t Break the Bank
Valentine's Day is right around the corner and honestly I didn't know National Spouse's Day (Jan. 26) even existed until this week. My first thought was 'Oh dang it, it's not pay day yet'!
If that's your thought too, don't fret. I managed to put together four quick things you can do for your loved one to show you care, without taking out a loan or running up your credit card balance.
National Spouses Day is for anyone in a marriage, civil union, domestic partnership or common law marriage.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention
We all live in a distracted world, with busy high on a pedestal. I'm not pointing fingers, because when I do, I have three pointing back at me on this one. OK, on every one.
Put down the phone, computer, TV remote or anything else that prevents you from being attentive. Make eye contact and listen for an evening or even a few minutes. Your loved one will not only get it, but will appreciate it.

Leave a little note
Whether it's a message on his or her mirror or a little note you place in your loved ones lunch or in their car, purse or briefcase, a little note to say 'I love you' or to encourage them during their day will make a difference.

Hey, we know it's winter, but shaving means a lot
No one knows more than we do that sometimes in the winter, we slack off a little on the personal grooming. If your legs or back look like the Christmas tree you just hauled off, then this one is for you.
It doesn't cost a thing and will only add a little shower time to shave your legs. And for guys, whatever you need to shave! Well, that goes for us girls, too. Your man (or woman) will know that you took that extra time for them. And it will pay off for the both of you.

Get busy
And we don't mean in the way that distracts you from your 'lo-vah', but busy with them. ;)
We get it: Jobs, kids and stress can take a toll. And at the end of the day, you just wanna go to sleep. Well, you both will sleep a lot better if you take a little time to get busy before you turn over for the night. (Hey, you shaved already, so why not have some fun?)
