NBC Is Developing an ‘Office’ Spin-off for Dwight

NBC is toying with the idea of doing a spin-off of "The Office" starring Dwight, who's played by Rainn Wilson.

'Sources' are saying the show wouldn't take place in the office this time...it would actually follow Dwight's life on his family's beet farm and bed & breakfast, which fans of 'The Office' know well.

If this happens, it's unclear what this means for Dwight's future on 'The Office' and the future of 'The Office' altogether. The show hasn't been picked up for a ninth season yet, but the "Hollywood Reporter" says that's likely to happen.

The untitled Dwight show wouldn't begin until 'early 2013.'
