Police say multiple people have been injured after gunfire erupted between rival biker gangs at the Waco location of Twin Peaks restaurant.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton told KWTX-TV there were "multiple victims" in the shooting shortly after noon Sunday adjacent to Interstate 35.

KWTX later reported at least nine people were killed in the shootout, and it is not immediately clear if bystanders at Twin Peaks, or adjacent restaurants, were among the injured.

Swanton told the Associated Press that authorities are concerned that gang members are moving to other parts of the city to continue the confrontation elsewhere.

McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna told KWTX earlier this month that law enforcement was aware of simmering conflicts between gangs that gathered at the restaurant.

Raw video from KWTX shows the aftermath of the deadly shooting and the large number of people detained by police.
