Preview Lubbock’s Beautiful New Magnolia Children’s Learning Center [Photos]
Here is a sneak peek of the beautiful new Magnolia Children's Learning Center, set to open Monday, Feb. 3rd, 2020 at 12006 Slide Road in Lubbock.
The center is locally owned by Cindy Drake. She's followed her dream to create an ideal learning opportunity for children ages 2 1/2 to 5. The curriculum keeps pace with other centers, but the teacher to student ratio is smaller here, she told us. Six students per teacher is the average at this center, allowing for much more individual attention for the students. Their capacity is 32 children.
"Our size really sets us apart..the teachers and the kids have a lot of one on one time. I have very high standards for the classroom," Drake said.
They do offer a full day of care in addition to pre-school activities, and are open 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Drake added that they serve a lot of folks coming in from New Home to Lubbock, and things are filling up quickly.
We were really impressed with the founder's heartfelt story and this wonderful facility that glowed with a great sense of warmth and caring. Our tour took us through fresh and beautifully designed rooms, with great attention to detail, as well as a terrific outdoor space that includes a garden and play space.
Congratulations to Magnolia Children's Learning Center on creating such a fantastic opportunity for Lubbock's parents and children. Welcome to Lubbock.
