Do you love Darth Maul from Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace and Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe? Well, this is your chance to meet the guy who played them right here in Lubbock.

Actor Ray Park is coming to Lubbock and we're super excited. In addition to portraying the nefarious Sith lord Darth Maul and the ninja Snake Eyes, Park was also the long-tongued goo-spitting Toad in 2000's X-Men.

Park actually taught himself gymnastics at a young age so he wouldn't be missing the correct training to achieve a higher level. It obviously worked. He's also trained in wushu and Chinese Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. Park started out a stunt double before making the leap to acting.

Darth Maul, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

Park was instrumental in one of the most well-known scenes in the Star Wars film franchise: an acrobatic two-on-one lightsaber battle with Jedis Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson). Watch it below:

Snake Eyes, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

While you never see Snake Eyes' face, he was a big character in the original two G.I Joe movies, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. You can see Park in action as the silent warrior below:

Toad, X-Men

Park's portrayal of Marvel Comics' Toad in 20th Century Fox's X-Men had him battling Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Cyclops and the rest of the heroic mutants. His defeat at the hands off Halle Berry's Storm spawned one of the cheesiest movie one-liners of all time:

So how do you meet this famous actor? He'll be at the Monster’s Lair Comics on Sunday, April 24th from 12 - 4 p.m.

If you come out you can meet him, you can get a signature and a picture, too. According to Monster's Lair Comics, it's $80 for a signature, $80 for a picture or $140 for both. You can call them at (806) 701-5800 for more information.
