Really? Lubbock? Is West Texas A Popular Instagram Destination?

When you look at Instagram, you sometimes find yourself virtually exploring many exotic destinations and living vicariously through the kens of so-called "influencers" and their duck faced selfies in front of UNESCO world heritage sites.

You know, hotspots like Paris, London, The Bahamas, and....

...............LUBBOCK????

Yeah, we're skeptical too, and we freaking LIVE here.

According to a site called AirportParkingDestinations.com (yeah, seems legit), Lubbock is the 10th most photogenic city in Texas, beating out vacation hot spots like Floydada, Odessa, Waco, and Temple.

They even sent an official looking spreadsheet to prove it!

See? LEGIT!

Obviously, we aren't as photogenic as Houston, Dallas, or Austin, but IN YOUR FACE ABILENE!!!

Without a doubt, it's because of the natural beauty of Lubbock which is captured in photographic art such as this:

Stunning, and picturesque.

In all honesty, Lubbock does have some very scenic locations which turn into photo opportunities. And admittedly, we LOVE taking photos at a lot of big events, like Texas Tech Football games.

Pretty cool, eh?

Again, I have to question the source just a little bit. A website devoted to one of the great nightmares of travel, airport parking?  It's like a website dedicated to cooking meth publishing a survey of the 10 most family-friendly kitten breeds. It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

But, Lubbock is on a top 10 list in a good way...so we will take it. Now, I need to bookmark that site about meth... Los Pollos something or other.
