Rupert Murdoch Attacker Jonnie Marbles Tweets Before Hitting Mogul With Shaving Cream

Jonnie Marbles, the man who allegedly hit News Corp mogul Rupert Murdoch with a face full of shaving cream at his parliamentary hearing, posted a cryptic tweet moments before, saying, “It is a far better thing that I do now than I have ever done before #splat”

Murdoch and his son, James, appeared to discuss the infamous phone hacking scandal at News of the World when Marbles struck (calling Murdoch a “greedy billionare”). Wife Wendi Murdoch was quick to defend her husband, with those in the room reporting that she slapped the assailant.

Murdoch was uninjured in the incident and Marbles was escorted from the courtroom. The hearing resumed about 15 minutes later. See a clip of the incident below:
