Finally. A part of the STAAR test that makes sense.

KHOU is reporting that a student in Lumberton ISD found the f-word on his STAAR test a few weeks ago.

The student reported the find right away to the test administrator. Calls were made, and now the state is apologizing. TEA released a statement about the incident...

"A passage with embedded images of a graffiti park appeared as part of field testing for some fifth-grade Texas students. After the test was administered, TEA discovered that two of the included images contained vulgar words in very small lettering. This is in no way acceptable or appropriate, and we deeply regret that these images appeared on the test. We apologize to all our parents and students, and in the spirit of continuous improvement, we pledge to ensure this issue never occurs again."

Not all the students would've been subjected to the situation as STAAR tests have multiple versions. It's not clear how many students did have the F-Test, but, in my day, the F-Bomb was dropped on every test..."Test? F***! I knew I should've called in sick."
