United Supermarkets cut the ribbon on a “fresh” new store today, Wednesday, Jan. 9 at the corner of 19th and Quaker in Lubbock. Doors opened following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m.

As many as 200 new jobs will be coming to Lubbock early next year when United Supermarkets opens its new Market Street location at 19th and Quaker.

United Supermarkets has announced plans to open Lubbock’s third Market Street location, which will reflect United Supermarkets’ responsiveness to guests’ requests, a million-dollar investment in its health-and-wellness product line, and a visible effort to be an environmentally friendly corporate citizen.

To honor its Texas roots, Market Street will host a “Best of Texas Expo” to help its guests experience the top products the state has to offer.
