Texas 4-H Foundation Awards Scholarships In Lubbock County
The Texas 4-H Foundation has awarded scholarships to several students in Lubbock County.
Normally, scholarships are announced at the Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station, but because of the Coronavirus, the announcement was made over Youtube and Facebook Live. In Lubbock County, 4 students were presented with scholarships totaling $43,000.
Colton Baldridge of the Shallowater 4-H Club received a $20,000 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship. Taylor Everitt, also of the Shallowater 4-H Club, received $10,000 on behalf of the Richard Walreth Foundation.
Alyssa Elmore and Madyson Cook of the Idalou Wildcats 4-H Club also received a $10,000 Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate Scholarship and a $3,000 Floyd Lynch Foundation Scholarship, respectively.
Each year the Texas 4-H Foundation annually awards over $2.2 million in scholarships to Texas 4-H’ers.
